Terms and conditions
The agreements between you and DALTCORE. In plain language, so you know where you stand.
Version 21 October 2026
This is a translation. If the Dutch and English texts differ, the Dutch text applies. Read the Dutch version.
1 Who we are and what we mean
- 1.1 DALTCORE is a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak), based at Parallelstraat 7, 8261 VS Kampen, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 63053799, VAT number NL002302691B98. In these terms, we call this "we" or "us".
- 1.2 You are whoever orders a service from us or enters into an agreement with us. This can be a person or a company.
- 1.3 You are a consumer if you do not order for your profession or business. Consumers sometimes have extra rules. We always state them where they apply.
- 1.4 A service is anything we provide. For example web hosting, domain names and email hosting.
- 1.5 Mijn DALTCORE is your customer environment on daltcore.com. There you find your services, invoices and tickets.
- 1.6 In writing also means by email or through a ticket in Mijn DALTCORE.
2 When these terms apply
- 2.1 These terms apply to every quote, order and agreement with us.
- 2.2 Do we want to agree on something different? Then we put it in writing. What we agree in writing takes precedence over these terms.
- 2.3 Your own general terms and conditions do not apply.
- 2.4 Is a rule in these terms invalid? Then the other rules still apply. Together we agree on a replacement rule that stays as close to the intent as possible.
3 Ordering and quotes
- 3.1 Do you order through our web shop? Then the agreement is made as soon as we confirm your order by email. The invoice is attached to that email.
- 3.2 Normally we confirm your order as soon as you have paid. Have we agreed that you may order on account? Then we confirm your order right away. You then pay the invoice within the term in article 4.3.
- 3.3 A quote is valid for 30 days, unless it states a shorter or longer period. The agreement is made when you accept the quote in writing.
- 3.4 Does a price or offer contain an obvious error, such as a typo? Then we do not have to honour it.
- 3.5 We may refuse an order, for example if we suspect abuse. Have you already paid? Then you get your money back within 14 days.
4 Prices and payment
- 4.1 Prices in the web shop include VAT. A quote states whether a price includes or excludes VAT.
- 4.2 You pay for recurring services in advance, per period. You pay for the first period when you order, or on account (article 3.2). You get an invoice for every following period.
- 4.3 You pay an invoice within 14 days of the invoice date. You can use the payment link in the email or make a bank transfer. Have you given us a direct debit mandate? Then we collect the amount automatically.
- 4.4 Do you not pay on time? Then we send you a reminder and you get 14 extra days to pay. Have you still not paid by then? Then we may pause the service until you have paid everything. Have you still not paid 30 days after the reminder? Then we may end the agreement.
- 4.5 After those extra 14 days, we may charge the statutory interest (wettelijke rente). For businesses, this is the statutory commercial interest (wettelijke handelsrente). We may also charge collection costs. These are no higher than the law allows (Besluit vergoeding voor buitengerechtelijke incassokosten, the Dutch decree on extrajudicial collection costs).
- 4.6 We may change our prices, for example if our purchase costs go up. Domain names follow the prices of the registry: the organisation that manages an extension such as .nl. We announce a price increase by email at least 30 days in advance. Do you not want to continue? Then you may cancel free of charge from the date of the increase.
5 Term and cancellation
- 5.1 A subscription runs per period. Usually that is a month or a year, but we can also agree on something else. For example, you can register some domain names for 10 years. After each period, we renew the subscription automatically for the same period, unless we agree otherwise.
- 5.2 You can cancel at any time, up to and including the last day of the current period. Your service keeps working until the end of that period. Then it stops and you pay nothing more.
- 5.3 You cancel through a ticket in Mijn DALTCORE or by email to info@daltcore.com. We send you a confirmation with the end date.
- 5.4 Are you a consumer and has an annual subscription renewed automatically? Then you may cancel at any time after that, with one month's notice. You get back what you paid in advance for the months after that.
- 5.5 If you cancel, you do not get back what you already paid for a current period. Except in the situations in articles 4.6, 5.4, 11.3 and 13.
- 5.6 Do you seriously or repeatedly fail to follow these terms? Then we may end the agreement immediately. Think of abuse (article 7), bankruptcy or suspension of payments (surseance van betaling).
- 5.7 Does a service stop? Then we keep your files and email for another 30 days. During that time, you can ask us for a copy. After that, we delete everything. We keep invoices for 7 years, because the law requires it.
6 Hosting and availability
- 6.1 We aim for an availability of 99% per calendar month. That is on average no more than about 7 hours of downtime per month. Planned maintenance and force majeure (article 11) do not count.
- 6.2 This is an aim, not a guarantee. If we fall below it, you get no compensation. You keep your statutory rights, of course.
- 6.3 We announce planned maintenance at least 24 hours in advance, by email or on daltcore.com/noc. Is there an urgent security problem? Then we may act immediately, without notice.
- 6.4 We store your data on servers in European datacenters.
- 6.5 Making backups of your website, email and other data is your own responsibility.
- 6.6 We make snapshots of our servers: a full copy of the entire server. We use them to restore the server after an outage. They are not meant for restoring individual files or a single website.
- 6.7 We also keep 7 days of website backups. We do this on a best-effort basis, without a guarantee. Do you want certainty? Then you can buy a backup service with a guarantee from us. Contact support for this.
- 6.8 Every package has limits, such as storage and the number of websites. You find them with the package in the web shop. Do you exceed them structurally? Then we contact you about a larger package.
7 What is not allowed
- 7.1 You do not use our services for anything that is illegal or harms others. Think of:
- sending unsolicited advertising (spam);
- spreading malicious software;
- fake sites to steal data (phishing);
- infringing the rights of others, such as copyright;
- deliberately overloading or attacking our servers or other customers.
- 7.2 Do we see abuse, or do we receive a well-founded report about content on your service? Then we may block the service or that part of it. We warn you first, unless damage is imminent.
- 7.3 Does someone hack your account and abuse it? Then we block it to prevent further harm. After that, we help you make it secure again.
8 Domain names
- 8.1 We register your domain name in your name, with the registry of the extension. You are the holder. We handle the registration and management.
- 8.2 We only know for sure that a domain name is available once the registration has succeeded. Does it fail? Then you get your money back.
- 8.3 The rules of the registry that manages an extension also apply to that extension. You follow those rules.
- 8.4 Is your address or email address no longer correct? Let us know. A registry can cancel a domain name with incorrect details.
- 8.5 As long as your subscription runs and is paid, we renew your domain name automatically.
- 8.6 Do you cancel a domain name? Then it stays yours until the expiry date. After that, it expires and someone else can register it. You can sometimes still recover an expired domain name for a short time, but the registry charges extra for this.
- 8.7 Do you want to transfer your domain name to another provider? Request the transfer code through a ticket or by email. You get it within two working days. Transferring is free.
9 What we expect from you
- 9.1 The details you give us are correct. Does something change, such as your address or email address? Update it in Mijn DALTCORE or let us know.
- 9.2 You keep your passwords secret. You are responsible for what happens with your login details.
- 9.3 Do you use WordPress or other software that you install yourself? Then you are responsible for the updates and backups of that installation. This also applies to themes and plugins.
- 9.4 Does someone hack your WordPress website or other software of your own? Then we are not liable for this, not even for the damage that follows from it. Unless a fault in our servers caused the hack.
- 9.5 What is on your website or in your email is your responsibility. Does someone hold us liable for it? Then you compensate the damage and costs we incur as a result.
10 Liability
- 10.1 Does something go wrong because of a mistake on our part? Then we compensate the direct damage. That is at most the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the damage.
- 10.2 We do not compensate indirect damage. For example lost profit, missed revenue, damage because your business stands still, or damage to your reputation.
- 10.3 Report damage in writing as soon as possible. Are you a business? Then you do this within 30 days after you discovered the damage. After that, your right to compensation lapses.
- 10.4 Are you a consumer? Then the statutory rules that protect you always take precedence over this article.
11 Force majeure
- 11.1 Can we not keep an agreement because of something we cannot reasonably influence? Then that is force majeure (overmacht). We are then not liable.
- 11.2 Think of major outages at internet or power suppliers and heavy attacks on our network (DDoS). Or of fire, floods and government measures.
- 11.3 Does the force majeure last longer than 60 days? Then either of us may end the agreement in writing. You get back what you paid in advance for the period after that.
12 Privacy and confidentiality
- 12.1 You can read how we handle your personal data in our privacy statement.
- 12.2 Do you put personal data of others on our services, for example of your customers? Then we are your processor under the GDPR (in Dutch: AVG). We send you a data processing agreement on request.
- 12.3 We do not look at your files or email. Unless we need to in order to help you or to stop abuse, or the law requires us to.
- 12.4 We keep each other's confidential information secret, also after the agreement ends.
13 Cooling-off period for consumers
- 13.1 This article only applies if you are a consumer.
- 13.2 You may withdraw from an order within 14 days, without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day the agreement is made.
- 13.3 We start your service right away once we confirm your order. We explicitly ask you for this when you order. Do you withdraw after that? Then you pay for what we delivered up to that moment. You get the rest back.
- 13.4 We register a domain name in your name with the registry right away. That registration cannot be undone. That is why there is no cooling-off period for a registered domain name. We ask you to confirm this when you order.
- 13.5 You withdraw by email to info@daltcore.com. You may use the model form from your confirmation email, but you do not have to. We confirm your withdrawal right away.
- 13.6 You get your money back within 14 days of your withdrawal, in the same way you paid.
14 Complaints
- 14.1 Are you unhappy about something? Let us know as soon as possible, through a ticket or by email to info@daltcore.com. Describe what is wrong.
- 14.2 You get a full response within 5 working days. Do we need more time? Then we tell you within those 5 working days when you will get an answer.
- 14.3 A complaint about an invoice does not mean you can leave the whole invoice unpaid. You pay the part you agree with on time, as usual.
15 Changes to these terms
- 15.1 We may change these terms.
- 15.2 We announce a change by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. The latest version is always on this page.
- 15.3 Do you disagree with a change that is to your disadvantage? Then you may cancel free of charge from the date the change takes effect.
16 Applicable law and court
- 16.1 Dutch law applies to our agreements.
- 16.2 Can we not resolve a dispute together? Then one of us brings it before the district court of Overijssel (rechtbank Overijssel), Zwolle location. Are you a consumer? Then you may also choose the court that the law assigns. Usually that is the court near you.
- 16.3 We always try to resolve a dispute together first.
